MY STORY WITH PHOTOGRAPHY
Ever since my early childhood, music and photography have been of the utmost interest to me. I feel as though one simply cannot exist without the other. As we try to understand what we hear through music, we must also develop our own aural image; a very personal and individual interpretation of sound. Photography works in a very similar manner. It is an art form where the independent thoughts and expressions of a person merge to inspire others to see the world as we know it from their perspective. It is my mission to take two seemingly distant arts and merge them to become an expressive and cohesive medium in which creativity can prosper.
As the old phrase goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words". However, I believe that a single picture is worth a thousand moments in time. My work is achieved with the intention of allowing my subject to exist without feeling forced to portray something that doesn't exist. There is so much beauty in this world, but there is also much angst and misery. In essence, my work remains an illumination of humanism that captures both the seriousness and effervescence of life.
Being a student currently enrolled in University, my experience in this field is continually growing and adapting with every new opportunity. I am an aspiring professional with an eagerness to learn and produce quality work through exploiting my already firm understandings of coordinating, capturing and editing both studio and outdoor photography.
